David G. Baram
Download VcardMr. Baram co-founded VMG Partners in 2005, and currently focuses on all aspects of the Fund’s investment strategy, execution and portfolio company management. Mr. Baram serves on the Boards of Colorescience, Natural Balance Pet Foods, Timbuk2, and The Snack Factory. Prior to VMG Partners, Mr. Baram served as the President and COO of The Firm, a Los Angeles-based talent management firm, which was the predecessor to Marc Entertainment. At The Firm, Mr. Baram led the acquisition of Pony International and later served as the CEO of the company until its highly successful sale in 2003. Prior to The Firm, Mr. Baram was an attorney with Alshuler, Grossman, Stein & Kahan from 1991 to 1999, becoming Partner in 1995. Prior to that, Mr. Baram practiced law for two years with Paul, Hastings, Janofshy & Walker. Mr. Baram received his J.D. with Honors from Harvard Law School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University with a B.A. in Economics.

Scott Elaine Case
Download VcardMs. Case co-founded VMG Partners in 2005, and currently focuses on sourcing and portfolio management, most recently serving as interim CEO of Colorescience. Ms. Case serves on the Boards of Colorescience and Timbuk2. Prior to VMG Partners, Ms. Case was a Principal at TSG where she was responsible for developing and strengthening intermediary relationships. Prior to joining TSG, Ms. Case was a Managing Director and the head of the Global Consumer Products Corporate Finance Group at Deutsche Bank from 1999 to 2002. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Ms. Case spent three years at Merrill Lynch where she was a Director and co-founder of the Corporate Finance Consumer Products Group. There, she advised numerous large domestic consumer product companies, and raised over $2 billion in public equity for these clients. Ms. Case began her career at J.P. Morgan where she spent over eleven years in the Corporate Finance and the Mergers & Acquisitions Groups. Ms. Case received her B.S. in Computer Science from Bucknell University.

Kara Cissell-Roell

Ms. Roell serves on the Boards of Colorescience, KIND Snacks, Pirate Brands, The Snack Factory, and previously served on the Board of Waggin’ Train, before it was sold to Nestlé Purina PetCare. Prior to VMG Partners, Ms. Roell was a Vice President at TSG where she was involved in the sourcing, due diligence, execution and monitoring of a majority of TSG’s portfolio companies. Prior to TSG, Ms. Roell was an Associate at private equity firm Arena Capital Partners, where she focused on investment opportunities in consumer, health care and other related industries. Prior to that, Ms. Roell was an Analyst in the M&A department of Schroders PLC in New York City. Ms. Roell graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colgate University with a B.A. in Economics and German where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Angad Hira
Download VcardMr. Hira joined VMG Partners in 2010 and currently focuses on due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio company oversight. Prior to VMG, Mr. Hira was an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at UBS Investment Bank. In that role, Mr. Hira helped advise companies in various industries as they evaluated and executed acquisition and sale opportunities. Mr. Hira received his B.S. in Commerce with a dual concentration in finance and accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Mary Kayser
Download VcardMs. Kayser joined VMG Partners in 2007 and is responsible for financial reporting and audit compliance. Prior to VMG, Ms. Kayser spent almost a decade in various roles within privately and publicly held companies with a strong focus on partnership structures, administration, acquisitions and related integration, technology, investor relations, all areas of finance, accounting and tax. Before working in industry, Ms. Kayser was a Manager at Deloitte in their San Francisco audit practice. Ms. Kayser received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California. Ms. Kayser is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the AICPA, California Society of CPAs and Private Equity CFO Association.

Michael L. Mauzé
Download VcardMr. Mauzé co-founded VMG Partners in 2005, and currently focuses on all aspects of the Fund’s investment strategy, execution and portfolio company management. Mr. Mauzé serves on the Boards of KIND Snacks, Pirate Brands, Mighty Leaf Tea, The Snack Factory, and previously served on the Board of Waggin’ Train before it was sold to Nestlé Purina PetCare. Prior to VMG Partners, Mr. Mauzé was a Managing Director at TSG. Mr. Mauzé was integrally involved in all aspects of the investment process and served as a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to TSG, Mr. Mauzé spent two years at Lehman Brothers Inc. advising consumer product companies in merger and acquisitions and capital raising activities. Before joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Mauzé was the co-founder of the Asian operations for PaineWebber Inc. At PaineWebber for a total of thirteen years, Mr. Mauzé also worked in the mergers and acquisitions group with a special focus on the consumer products industry. He received his A.B. in Economics from Davidson College and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Gina Pak

Prior to VMG, Ms. Pak was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. In that role, Ms. Pak helped advise companies in various industries on brand strategy and go-to-market strategy, with particular focus on consumer insight through market research and sales force design and execution. Ms. Pak received her B.A. in Economics and B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.

Robert W. Schult
Download VcardMr. Schult co-founded VMG Partners in 2005, and currently focuses on monitoring portfolio companies. Mr. Schult serves on the Board of Timbuk2 and previously served on the Board of Waggin’ Train before it was sold to Nestlé Purina PetCare. Prior to VMG Partners, Mr. Schult spent almost three decades in the consumer products goods industry. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Schult was the Chairman and Managing Director of TSG’s operating platform. Prior to joining TSG, he was the Chairman and CEO of Novopoint, Inc., a supply chain management technology company for the food and beverage industry. Before Novopoint, Mr. Schult was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Nestle USA, Inc., where he began his 28-year tenure at Carnation. Mr. Schult managed the U.S. business of Nestle representing sales of $8 billion, with such well known brands as Nestle, Stouffer’s, Hills Bros, Libby’s, Carnation, Buitoni, and Friskies, among others. Mr. Schult has served on numerous boards including The Times Mirror Company, owner of the Los Angeles Times and Chairman of the Grocery Manufacturers of America’s Industry Productivity Council. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of UCLA's Anderson School of Business. Mr. Schult received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina.

Stephanie Sison

Prior to VMG, Ms. Sison was an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at RBC Capital Markets where she worked on both sell-side and buy-side transactions in various industries including consumer, energy, health care, financial services, technology, and power and utility, amongst others. She also previously interned for the Corporate Finance team at Abbott Laboratories. Ms. Sison received her B.S. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Robin Tsai

Previously, he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group where he worked in several industries including consumer products and retail, and across a multiple practice areas including brand strategy, merger integration, and organizational design. Prior to BCG, he worked as a middle school history teacher at The SEED Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. Mr. Tsai received his B.A. with honors in Economics and East Asian Studies from Stanford University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Wayne K. Wu
Download VcardMr. Wu joined VMG in 2008, and currently focuses on sourcing, due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio company oversight. Mr. Wu serves on the Board of Mighty Leaf Tea and Speck. Prior to VMG, Mr. Wu served as the CFO and VP of Corporate Development of Thomason Autogroup, one of the 125 largest automotive retail organizations in the country at the time. During his tenure at Thomason, Mr. Wu assisted in the expansion of the California-based company into Texas through acquisition. Mr. Wu also led the re-branding effort of automotive retailer to Thomason Autogroup. Prior to joining Thomason Autogroup, Mr. Wu was an investment banker at RBC Capital Markets, participating in over $900 million in M&A and capital raising transactions. Mr. Wu was also an associate at Deloitte & Touche LLP and is a licensed CPA in the State of California. He received his B.S.C. from The Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University.
