I started my company based on personal need. I wanted to eat chocolate everyday, without eating sugar, and I wanted to eat a true serving, not just a little bit. There was nothing available on the marketplace, so I made my own!
I am passionate about the work I do. My brain leans towards problem solving and I am extremely tenacious (stubborn!). I also don’t take orders well, which makes me well suited to owning my own business. I view work, particularly within that Natural Products Industry, as my life’s work rather than just a job, and I love it.
I realized that I was onto something big around the second year of business at the end of 2013. Velocity sales were taking off, and every retailer I presented to accepted Lily’s based upon the innovation, great taste, and supporting sales data. I had been around brands long enough to realize then that Lily’s was a big opportunity.
