DO THE HUSTLE

My parents taught me early on that being smart or talented only gets you so far — you’ve got to put in the work. For me, it’s all about showing up, giving 100%, and being okay knowing that I’ll mess up sometimes.

PLAY IT BY EAR

I approach every conversation with excitement about the opportunity to learn from others. I believe there’s tremendous value in true listening, which requires presence and curiosity.

Creating space for others to share their perspectives has made me a more thoughtful and informed investor. I try to bring that same thoughtfulness, care, and respect into every professional relationship I build.

So let’s start way back at the beginning. What are some lessons you learned as a child that have stuck with you?

I’ve always looked up to my parents for how hard they work. They taught me early on that being smart or talented only gets you so far — you’ve got to put in the effort.

What a great gift. I’m sure it serves you well.

Definitely. For me, it’s all about showing up, giving 100%, and being okay knowing that I’ll mess up sometimes. I’ve always loved the quote “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”

Tell me more about your work style.

I approach every conversation with excitement about the opportunity to learn from others. I believe there’s tremendous value in being able to listen — true listening requires presence and curiosity.

So true. It must make you a great colleague.

I hope so. It definitely informs my approach. Creating space for others to share their knowledge and perspectives has made me a more thoughtful and informed investor. I always strive to bring that same thoughtfulness, care and respect into every professional relationship I build.

Shifting gears…what’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

Definitely love to start my day with an early morning workout! Whether it’s CrossFit, running, or yoga, it feels great to get movement in early. Soon after that, you’ll find me holding a cold brew and smoothie. And then another smoothie in the afternoon!

Double smoothie guy!

I tell you, I’m obsessed.

Speaking of drinks…word on the street is that you are a Spindrift fanatic.

Why drink tap water when you could try 20+ flavors of refreshing sparkling water? Lemon is my favorite.

So to sum it up: you’re all about dedication, communication, and hydration.

Yep. You could call me a triple threat.

🙂
