I can’t wait to see what other brands become iconic —it’s pretty incredible when it all comes together.

As a long-time VMG team member, Lindsey has seen our firm evolve and grow. Here are some of the early memories that inspire her as she continues to move forward in her career.

A SPECIAL CALLING

My dad was a telephone man who had this incredible ability to connect with anyone and everyone. By the end of a conversation, people felt like they were fast friends with him. It was an amazing skill but also incredibly genuine and effortless.

PEAK EXPERIENCE

Years ago, my two younger sisters and I climbed up Half Dome in Yosemite. By the time we got to the top we had laughed and cried and overcome intense leg cramps. It was so worth it.

As a long-time employee, what are some of the core company values that have remained consistent over the years?

The one that sticks out the most is the #VMGFamily. Over the years we have supported each other as a company through our successes, failures and learning experiences. We grow together, and it’s amazing to look at all of my colleagues and see all that we have accomplished.

Looking back further…can you name one of your early heroes?

My dad was definitely my earliest hero! He worked for Pacific Bell/AT&T as a telephone man who fixed phones all over the peninsula, and he had this incredible ability to connect with anyone and everyone. By the end of a conversation with my dad, people feltlike they were fast friends with him. It was an amazing skill but also incredibly genuine and effortless.

Did the neighborhood you grew up in have a strong impact on you?

A huge impact! I grew up in San Mateo; I was born in the house where my parents still live today. The street I grew up on had tons of kids playing outside and our neighbors were a huge fixture in my life. From lending a cup of sugar to holding our spare key to officiating my wedding, my neighbors have been a constant in my life.

How about personal challenges? Is there anything you lookback on and think, “Wow. I did that”?

Years ago, my two younger sisters and I climbed up Half Dome in Yosemite. It was such an amazing physical and emotional experience. I’m so glad I was able to accomplish it with them. By the time we got to the top, we had laughed and cried and overcome intense leg cramps. It was so worth it and I will always remember that trip.

Back to work: what is your favorite VMG brand (past or present)?

Pirate Brands were so iconic. They were all over the place, not only in the grocery store, but also in movies, magazines and celebrity photos. Everyone had these big smiles while eating Pirate’s Booty and talking about how much they loved it. It was so exciting to be a part of that brand’s journey.

What’s most exciting to you about the future at VMG?

I can relate each brand that we’ve worked on with what’s gone on during those times in my life. I can’t wait to see what other brands become iconic — it’s pretty incredible when it all comes together.

Incredible, and sometimes tasty. You’ve got me craving Pirate’s Booty.

Now my kids love it, too! It’s so timeless.

Over the years, our VMG family has grown together, and it’s amazing to look at all of my colleagues and see all that we have accomplished.
